Welcome

During the two or three hours you spend with a librarian for your English 151 class, he or she will give you many different pointers on doing research and using the library.  Because we know it's a lot of information to absorb, this guide is designed to help you remember some of the most important things your librarian shared with you during your session(s).  You'll find tips on creating a search strategy, searching databases effectively, and citing your sources, among other things.  You'll also find a link to the tutorial you'll be expected to complete before class.  (Hint: look for the tutorial tab above.)  We hope you come back to this guide whenever you need help with any of the assignments you do in English 151.  And remember, if you need more help than this guide can give, you can always Ask a Librarian!
